Does God Exist?

One of the big questions that makes many a philosopher pause and think for quite some time is the ontological question of "Does God Exist?" For many years philosophers have questioned the existence of God and many have also tried to prove God's existence. In the Middle Ages it was evident that such a question had to be answered because battles of arguments were waged by medieval philosophers in order to find an answer to the ontological question of "Does God Exist?"These medieval philosophers who were the main authorities that dealt with this question had different points of view.On one side were the medieval philosophers, theologians and authorities who

believed in the existence of God and felt that religious doctrines should be accepted on faith alone. On the other side were the other philosophers who questioned God's existence and were more interested in combining religious ideas with the teaching of the Greek philosophers especially Plato and Aristotle. One of them was Meister Eckhart the German monk and philosopher who attempted to square philosophy and religion, which led to charges of heresy against him. Because God is perfect, he must exist. But one of the most important medieval philosophers was St. Finally, my view point is, to one who questions, denies, tries to prove or even thinks that there exists something of such a nature that nothing greater than it can be imagined (such as God), it can be said that its existence can be proved in the first place by the fact that someone actually has it in his thoughts. Among these philosophers were Descartes and Spinoza. The most perfect thing we can think of is God. Anselm of Canterbury, a French philosopher who combined the roles of a spiritual leader and a major philosopher. This is so because no one thinks of something that doesn't exist, rather people often think of things that exist not only in their minds but in reality too. Also because everything in the world around us appears to be in perfect harmony with everything else then someone perfect must have been responsible for this harmonious perfection. So if people think so much about God that some of them even go to the extremes of fighting in his name then he must exist.
