Looking back I believe that it was my inability to choose my classes that resulted in my lack of enthusiasm on the way to school each morning. Armed with my new attitude and understanding I am ready for any challenge. I have always been interested in enforcing the law. While I understand that college will be more challenging that high school, I have always found it easier to study for a class that interested me. My grade point average is rising and my study habits are improving. I enjoy the freedom to pursue my own interests and to choose my own class schedule in college.
I will definitely enjoy the freedom of campus life, and also the people that are there. There is a benefit in knowing it all and I now understand that even my least favorite subject will contribute to my goal of living a rewarding life while working at a fulfilling career. This year I have made an earnest effort to improve my work ethic. I am a changed man, hoping that my youthful immaturity will not have a lasting effect on my future success. I am also willing to accept the fact that as long as I am in school, I will be forced to take required courses that I might be less than enthusiastic about. With my new goal, I realize that I am working towards my college degree and my future success, and I have regained the drive to excellence. After performing poorly for three years, my GPA doesn’t reflect the transformation I underwent at the start of the year.
