Many Early Writers Felt it was only important to write about prominent people, and often left out many important characteristics of normal life. In "A Worn Path", the Eudora Welty describes the humanity in the life of a lower class woman. In Kennedy's speech, he speaks to the less prominent people in America on their importance to the country and what their life could be like. In these two passages the authors chose to write about less prominent people. I disagree with many early writers and think that it is much more important to write about normal people. In John F. Kennedy's Inaugural Address, he addresses the nation, and especially the less prominent people, about the power they never knew they had. This is reinforced when he says his goal is to "assist free men and free governments in casting off the chains of poverty. In this passage, Eudora Welty describes the humanity in the life of a lower class woman's life, showing why writing about less prominent people is more important that writing about prominent people. Poverty and other various hurdles of the less prominent population of the world is obviously more important to Kennedy that the meager issues of the more prominent, much less common, people of America, which it should be, and therefore less prominent people are much more important to write about than more prominent people. At one point at the beginning of her trip, Phoenix says "Out of my way, all you foxes, owls, beetles, jack rabbits, coons, and wild animals!. Although many aspects of her life would give most people trouble, Phoenix still lives a happy life. She traveled a great distance and went to great lengths just to get some medicine for her grandson back at her home. Keep out from under these feet, little bobwhites.
