The Adventures Of Andreus

Andreus was an eight-year-old boy, who was full of hope and joy. Everyday he would wait for his father, hoping that he would come back from the war. He lived on a farm with his mother, he would help clean up, milk the cows, feed the animals, anything that needed doing around the house, he was glad to do. He waited for twelve years, never giving any thought that his father would never return. But over time he did, and soon he lost all faith. In those twelve years, Andreus trained with his sword, so he could be just like his father. And he was as good as his father; in fact he was better than his father. Warriors would travel from around the globe, to battle the young knight. But no one could defeat him. By the time he was 20, Andreus was a tall, dark, handsome looking man. One day an old man challenged Andreus. Andreus laughed calmly and said, “Old man I have no time for you, show your face and let us fight.” The old man did what he was told; he lifted his hood and stood there quietly. Andreus was shocked. “Tis I, I am your father. Aren’t u happy to see me son?” said the man in a low voice.

“How could this be? You’re dead.” Replied Andreus.

“Am I not in front of you? Standing here? Alive?”

. . .

“Afraid?” he replied, “Why should I be afraid?”

“You’re afraid of losing your father, just like you lost your mother. The great man, the one who stood by him no matter what, was dead. You have won and so I shall give you an army of my finest men. How do…you know?”

“I can see it in your eyes. He looked, as tears rolled down his face, “H. No one kills a great warrior and gets away with it. In a matter of seconds it was all over. On the eighth day, Andreus completed his training. He said in a low voice, “Let’s do this. Suddenly a gremlin shot out of the bush with his jaws wide open, flying towards Andreus.
