Even though he is wise, he still does dishonest things such as taking part in the trick played on Malvolio and lying about the character of Sir Andrew. Fabian’s character will change depending who he is around just like our characters in life. Fabian is a likeable character in this play with a well-liked personality and a wisdom that Feste has. ince when asked what happened to Malvolio, he gave an honest answer which could have gotten him in a lot of trouble. He was asked question like the following by Sir Toby, “and for his cowardship ask Fabian. He seems to know how the story will end and keeps his cool during many situations. ” Fabian’s word is accepted with many characters in the play like Sir Toby, Sir Andrew (during the reading of his personally composed letter) and Viola (when he said he will try to make peace with Sir Andrew). He is loyal to the duke and Sir Toby.
