Friday Night Lights This book relates to my life in certain ways, but it is also very different from my type of life. My parents always encouraged me to work harder at what I was good at, and that's the only reason I'm good at the things I like to do now (BMX, Skateboard, Basketball). There are probably more differences that similarities, but I'm not allowed to state them because this journal is about similarities. The personality of some of the players relates to me a lot. Even though I'm not on a football team, there are still other ways in which this book is similar to my life. Another similarity is that the players' parents are always encouraging their sons to play harder. Other than those few similarities, there aren't very many other things that this book has in common with my life. the whole town revolves around their football team, whereas our town doesn't care about the football team as much, except for maybe the parents and participants of our school. I don't like performing in front of thousands of people, let alone a class. The players who are scared and nervous of standing in front of a crowd fit my description a lot.
