Bio Adaptation

             It seems that audiences can overlook the adaptation process when it comes to transferring biographical tales. The truth is, when it comes to conveying biographical stories, it is important to get all the right facts and insert all the significant components. If an essential detail is omitted, the viewer can be left not understanding important instances or actualities that of the biography.
             The film on Frida Kahlo, taken from her biography, was exceptionally well adapted. A lot of the main parts that were vital to her life were included in the film. The film was a type of quest plot. Frida sets off at a young age and gets in the terrible accident that completely changes her life in several ways. She had to be in bed for months and lost the ability to walk. When she regained her ability to walk and be able to move, her life took a different route. I believe it was a change for the better. If it wasn't for the accident and her spirit of hope and optimism, she might not have been as successful as she turned out to be. In a quest plot, the character gains enlightenment, courage, and many positive things can occur. Frida received a whole new life with new opportunities that she might not have realized were available.
             In the film Frida, a lot of double action occurs meaning many parts are repeated. An example of this would be of Frida being in bed. That was a main importance in the film. It begins and ends with Frida being in her bed. Also, there was a moment when Diego Rivera's wife brings him food and sees him with a model at the beginning of the film. She gets very jealous and shouts at him. The same situation occurs later in the film but Frida is the wife of Diego. She handles the situation in a completely different and more tranquil manner.
