America and the Jim Crow Laws

             Introduction: This paper is designed to give an opinion about how I feel about the Jim Crow Laws and how they affected America, but I have decided that giving facts of the case and then expressing my opinion is the best way to go about this.

             Conclusion: Thanks to the Jim Crow Laws this can all be achieved. Now people are united; segregation has ended blacks and whites can live hand-in-hand daily. Also,000 people, have the right to do as they wish, as long as it is within a reasonable stature. Society is finally maturing toward togetherness. This paper is designed to give an opinion about how I feel about the Jim Crow Laws and how they affected America. I have decided that giving facts of the case and then expressing my opinion is the best way to go about this. I will express facts, ideas; and try not to offend anyone.
             After the Civil War, most Southern states passed the anti-African American legislation. The Jim Crow Laws legalized segregation between blacks and whites. This included laws that discriminated against African Americans, attendance in public schools and the use of facilities such as restaurants, theaters, hotels, and public restrooms. I happen to believe that this law was the smartest thing that was ever passed. Otherwise, in the opinion of many US citizens, the United States as a country would not have survived passed in 1955. As Abraham Lincoln once said "...all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation or any nation so conceived and so dedicated can long endure."
