Everything was new for me. As a foreign student who came from a different country, everything was just strange and difficult. So interested about studying in US, but things werenĄ¯t as easy as I thought. Giving up all those opportunity in Korea and facing a whole new world was just a shock for me. When I was six years old, I lived in Hong Kong for three years. At that time Hong Kong was still under the control of British, so I had to learn English rather than Hong Kong language. And this helped me to adjust

. . .

Each thing that IĄ¯ve done was just amazing. Every one respected each of my opinion and every single performance I do. IĄ¯ve never had this kind of opportunity in my life. I had make friends and played sports and went to volunteer clubs with them. And all these were not just a one part of my life, but the most of my life. It just seemed to me they were like robots. They all enjoyed their life and seemed having fun each they. In Korea, teacher is the main fact of the school and students were secondary facts. Language was not a problem but being in a whole new society with different thoughts and belief was hard to adjust. First as a high school student, I went to this private school. Every single student was treated fairly and each of us had an opportunity actually to be a part of a school. People were always in a rush, they never seemed to enjoy their lives.
