Not all people have lost vision of a heroic person. In many big cities, Mother Teresa and her Missionaries of Charity have soup kitchens every day. Heroes are far from the TV teenage idols and pop stars, such as, Britney Spears.

The word idol means: something or someone else we worship as a god, a person or thing loved or honored excessively, an extravagant admirer. They are all idols in the eyes of the population. They were a pretty selfish and arrogant bunch, --in other words, not exactly role models for the younger generation of today. We sometimes consider football players as heroes or athletic stars. God gave us the ability to run, jump, throw, and swim but it takes more than god given talent to be a hero. Mother Teresa’s comments on her work: “I am not a social worker.
