The American Revolutionary war was the time were the colonist rebelled against the British Attacks. The British were in control of all of the colonies. The Red Coats which is the British were also in control of all import, and export goods. They taxed every type of good that came in or out of the colonies. The colonist developed a group of man later called the militia. The militia is a group of farmers trained as soldiers to fight against the British. Another valuable asset to the colonist’s were the African America slaves, allowed by their master to fight along side the colonist. The American Revolution was a turning point in creating the United States of America today.

The British army who was also known as the red coats simply because of the type of uniform they wore. The red coats caused the colonist a lot of grief. In conclusion although out numbered the colonist stood their ground while in dire need of assistance. The only thing Washington ask for in return was for the slave to serve with the continental army for six months and they would be given the award they deserved most. The colonist were large but still didn’t have enough soldiers to fight against the colonist, but they had no choice. This event caused colonist to rebel even more, later the colonist were also involve in another event later called the Boston Tea Party. The colonist set out to assemble a group of men, in which they found in bars, churches, farms, and in fields they even recruited slaves given to the selective services by their masters. They still had the help of fellow slaves that were signed up by their master. The slaves took up a large percentage of the continental army. The militia although they started out as simple farmers, bankers, priest, and young boys they created a team of individuals that have come to be the United States Army which was established 1778 that goes to show the American Revolutionary War was a Dramatic turning point in the pursuit for independence which the simple colonist gained in that war. It was were the colonist dump tea into the Boston Bay.

Slavery was strong during this time, because slavery wasn’t consider a cruel or wrong act. The militia was trained by soldiers under the command of George Washington, he was the general in command in the fight for freedom and independence. This group of men were called a militia, which was a number of farmers, priest, and men from bars trained to fight as soldiers.
