Collective Unconscious of the Luna's
The Luna's have always been hard working people that learned to use the earth and respect it. They learned to treat the land properly in order to grow bountiful crops and have a wonderful life. The first knowledge of the Luna's in the story was the very first priest to come to the valley of El Puerto and settle the land under the light of the moon. He came to produce the rich lands of the valley and attract many others to the lands that would allow the growth of wonderful crops. They know of the sacred land and respect, but they also are strong Catholics and will not stray from the religion. They have strong faith in god and know his power is almighty and will aid them in the harvest f
He held the knowledge to be a farmer or priest and with the help of Ultima, he was able to use that knowledge for the better good of himself and his family. This ability probably came from his unlocked collective unconscious, which had also held the consciousness of his ancestors that were the farmers of the valley and have forever prospered in the land. This shows that his subconscious was telling how to learn and what to learn in order to lead his family and friends into the right path. He was also the only one of the family to be able to learn to unlock his dreams with his entire subconscious with the teachings of Ultima. He was able to skip second grade and go straight into the third grade. He was the leader and first Luna since the founding priest to have an education. This would happen because the collective unconscious of a person often only presents itself during the times that the subconscious is used, like the time during dreams and through behavior. He was able to unlock his collective unconscious. The generations had passed and no other educated man had come to the family, but since Antonio had the memories and thoughts of his ancestor in his collective unconscious, and these were possibly released when his dreams started to take form in his mind. They stated that he was perfect for the work of a farmer. He was the hope of his mother and was the son of his father had had not run off and tried to make a life of their own exploring the new cities. His uncles also stated in the story that Antonio had a strong mind and will and would be perfect to work in the fields and orchards with his family. Antonio may have not noticed in his behavior, but he had always wanted to learn more and faster than other children.
