However, she would not just give up - she spread her talent overseas in Europe, and helped them understand how blacks were just as sophisticated as whites. After that gig was over, she traveled to the USA and did a tour there. In other words, she celebrated and took the Harlem Renaissance and its meaning to others around the world. Josephine led a very productive life, and a big gala was given to celebrate the 50th year after she first arrived in Paris.

During this time period and far afterwards, Josephine Baker earned a long list of achievements ranging from being the most photographed woman in the world at one point to being the first American woman to be buried with French military honors. She bought and raised animals too, but not like the cat or dog you might have at home. She could be seen often on the streets of Paris walking her leopard.
