Air Pollution

Every large city has to contend in some way with air pollution, which clouds the sky, injures plants, and damages properties. The air pollution reduces the beauty of nature. Air pollution level became dangerously high over large cities as New York City, Cairo, and Los Angeles. Air pollution in those cities led to the establishment of much stronger emission standards for industry and automobiles.
Air pollution is a major health problem for all the humans on the earth. Cars and airplanes, factories, power plants, homes, and ships are major components of air pollution because they burn a lot of oil and release it into the air. Air pollution can cause asthma, a shortness of breath and tightness of the chest, as well as coughing at night.
Ozone is a major component for human health because it may cause inflammation and irritation of the respiratory tract. The result of breathing ozone can affect lung function and worsen asthma attacks. Ozone can increase the susceptibility of the lungs to infection, allergens, and other air pollutants. Air pollutants come from both natural sources and human activities. Examples of natural sources include the wind picking up dust and volcanoes belching ash and dust into the atmosphere, and forest fires producing drifting smoke. Pollution by humans enters the atmosphere from the fixed mobile source. Fixed sources are things such as power plants, homes, office buildings and mobile sources include motor vehicles, ships, and jet aircraft.
Air pollution often reduces visibility in the environment. Some particulate matter collected in cities includes iron, copper, nickel, and lead kind and can influence the human respiratory system. Carbon monoxide is a major pollutant of city air and a poisonous gas that forms during combustion of carbon-containing fuels. Sulfur dioxide comes from burning sulfur-containing fossil fuels such as coal and oil.
