In 1908, Austria-Hungary took over Bosnia in the Balkans. And finally, on August 4, 1914, Britain declared war on Germany. The triple entente consisted of Britain, France, and Russia. Once France tried to defend Russia, Germany declared war on them as well, and attacked through Belgium, breaching the Treaty of London, which stated, that many nations, including Britain and Germany would defend Belgium against future attacks. The triple alliance was formed in 1882. After a few months of threats, Austria-Hungary finally declared war on Serbia.
