Animal Farm
Animal farm is said to be a fairy story an allegory, a parable and a surface story. The book can be interpreted in many different ways. If you were a 7or8 year old child, you would think of it as a fairy story but if you are, 14 as I am you would be looking deeper into the book and seeing the other meaning of the book. The representation of the Russian revolution. Orwell had great problems publishing his book this was mainly because when he was trying to publish the book Stalin was held in highest esteem in Britain among the populace and the general intelligentsia. This was a fact that Orwell hated. For this reason, the manuscript was almost impossible to publish. Stalin was a crucial wartime ally who was helping the way towards victory against Hitler, the very fact that the backbone of Orwell's book was accusations pointed at Stalin's betrayal of the Russian Revolution. Orwell did eventually publish his book in England on the 17 august 1945 and one year later in the United States.Napoleon the leader of the revolution after old major died, works on two levels. The first being Napoleon Bonaparte a blood thirsty tyrant, a strong leader and someone the people looked up to. In addition, the second being Joseph Stalin.
Napoleon had now started to use the show trials, he ordered all the animals to assemble in the yard Napoleon emerged wearing both medals he had recently awarded himself 'Animal Hero Fist Class' and 'Animal Hero Second Class' (signs of corruption). Stalin started as a priest but was expelled. Napoleon was a totalitarian he wanted all the power for himself. An example of this is the Spanish purges that Stalin orders. Then Mr Pilikington made a toast 'Gentlemen I give you a toast: to the prosperity of animal Farm'After everyone had sat down Napoleon made a toast changing the name of the farm back to 'Manor Farm'The animals looking through the window could not tell which was man and which was pig the pigs were now absolutely corrupt. When the animals started to ask questions Napoleon sent out squealer to sort out the trouble. Napoleon now wanted to grow barley so he could make beer. 'Absolute control corrupts absolutely'Now Napoleon had absolute control he could do, as he likes. The field he used was the one originally set aside for retiring animals. He is also producing plans and schemes, which will help the farm to function a lot more easily like the plans of the windmill. 'Comrades!' cried Squealer making nervous skips' a most terrible thing has been discovered Snowball was in league with Jones from the beginning he was Jones secret agent. On the day that Snowball had declared, the spot for the windmill Napoleon trotted up to the plans and with out muttering a word he urinated over the plans this was Napoleon marking his territory. Napoleon was a rather large fierce looking Berkshire boar, the only Berkshire on the farm. The pigs then found a case of whisky and decided to drink it the pigs got absolutely drunk and had a very good time.
