Statement of Purpose
It was during the initial few days of my first semester at the undergraduateschool, when our instructor introduced to us the technicalities hidden behind computer networks at one of the computer laboratories. Through my highschool years, though it was pretty normal for me to “chat”; it was this day when I was revealed the enormous capability and tech-leap that my “timid-chat” was a part of! As my instructor continued, my surprise took to exclamation and then to sheer amazement. The technical code word behind all my emotions was christened “The RS-232 Cable”, while I realized intuitively that a complex version of this elementary network could achieve much; at that time I had no real idea of whatsoever this all was. Now, four years later, I know that Networking makes possible a plethora of applications, from video-conferencing over the Internet to linking banks through private networks. It still seems like magic. Or rather, a grand adventure - one that I most certainly want to be part of. To my best, I can describe it as that one thing that stirs me deeper with every fact, to keep me wondering that still it has much more in its offing - Hence my desire and decision to pursue a Masters with Netwo . . .
The syllabi followed in our engineering courses helped reveal the enormity and significance of networking technology as well as its applicability to everyday life – especially in a developing country such as India. Some truly fascinating research projects on Embedded Ethernet, CDMA , IEEE802. Data Communication, Computer Networks, Microprocessors, Operating Systems, Database Systems and basics of Wireless Technologies form the core of our curriculum. I was now hands-on with fundamentals of VoIP (Voice over IP) and other mediagateway applications. (CHANGE THIS PARA AS PER THE UNIV COURSES, RESEARCH>>AND OFCOURSE THE UNIVS NAME!!) I bring along a strong grasp of fundamentals in Electronics and Computers, an aptitude for teaching and team work, a zest for challenges and an enthusiastic desire to learn all I can. I plan to pursue a Masters Degree, followed by a Ph. My project guide, then head of the Computer Networks Department, gave me a thorough hands-on experience of the telecom opportunities that were anticipated on the Protocol Network. A significant part of my third year was dedicated to writing technical papers and seminars, . Winning various inter-department prizes, I also have the credit of being the coordinator of various industrial meets at the college level. Among the vast options of telecom technologies, I chose the research-study project on TCP/IP. I hail from a family of successful Engineers and Technologists. I also have an excellent cocurricular activities record. Further, I plan to put my knowledge to its best potential use by pursuing a career in active research and teaching.
