Statement of Purpose
It was during the initial few days of my first semester at the undergraduateschool, when our instructor introduced to us the technicalities hidden behindcomputer networks at one of the computer laboratories. Through my highschoolyears, though it was pretty normal for me to "chat"; it was this day when Iwas revealed the enormous capability and tech-leap that my "timid-chat" was apart of! As my instructor continued, my surprise took to exclamation and then tosheer amazement. The technical code word behind all my emotions waschristened "The RS-232 Cable", while I realized intuitively that a complexversion of this elementary network could achieve much; at that time I had no realidea of whatsoever this all was. Now, four years later, I know that Networkingmakes possible a plethora of applications, from video-conferencing over theInternet to linking banks through private networks. It still seems like magic. Orrather, a grand adventure - one that I most certainly want to be part of. To mybest, I can describe it as that one thing that stirs me deeper with every fact, tokeep me wondering that still it has much more in its offing - Hence my desireand decision to pursue a Masters with Netwo
The syllabi followed in our engineering courses helped reveal the enormity andsignificance of networking technology as well as its applicability to everyday life- especially in a developing country such as India. Some trulyfascinating research projects on Embedded Ethernet, CDMA , IEEE802. Data Communication,Computer Networks, Microprocessors, Operating Systems, Database Systemsand basics of Wireless Technologies form the core of our curriculum. I wasnow hands-on with fundamentals of VoIP (Voice over IP) and other mediagatewayapplications. (CHANGE THIS PARA AS PER THE UNIV COURSES,RESEARCH>>AND OFCOURSE THE UNIVS NAME!!)I bring along a strong grasp of fundamentals in Electronics and Computers, anaptitude for teaching and team work, a zest for challenges and an enthusiasticdesire to learn all I can. I plan to pursue a Masters Degree, followed by a Ph. My project guide, then head of theComputer Networks Department, gave me a thorough hands-on experience ofthe telecom opportunities that were anticipated on the Protocol Network. A significant part of my third year was dedicated to writing technical papersand seminars, . Winning variousinter-department prizes, I also have the credit of being the coordinator of variousindustrial meets at the college level. Among the vast options of telecom technologies, Ichose the research-study project on TCP/IP. I hail from a family of successful Engineers andTechnologists. I also have an excellent cocurricularactivities record. Further, I plan to put my knowledge to its best potential use bypursuing a career in active research and teaching.
