Freedom to Brethe

             Running here, running there, doing this, doing that, arguing, listening, talking, working, what about me? Like millions of people I have a busy life. It's hard to find time in a day just to breathe, collect my thoughts, or just relax when I'm always spending time on everything else. Sometimes it's impossible to find a few moments to spare. I have a place I like to go, a place no one knows about but me, that helps me relax.
             First, my place is down by a river right off the highway. There is a place I drive into, park my car and sit by the river. It smells of flowers and dirty river; however, the smell is the least of my worries after a long day. I can see cars passing by through the trees. I can see birds, flowers, and trees. The trees, recently changing color, have red, green, yellow, and orange leaves floating off them as the wind blows. The flowers, which were yellow and red earlier this year, are all wilting and dying off for the cold winter to come. I see two blue jays flying around my area quite often. The river is darkened by pollution, filled with fish to, unknowingly, be caught by the fishermen. I hear the sounds of the river current rustling through the air as I sit on the large rocks, banking the river, letting my troubles of the day get taken away by the current. I hear cars racing by on the highway, sometimes. I hear the gentle rushing of the current, along with the blue jays singing in the background. As I walk along the grass I hear the crunching of the crisp colored leaves under my feet. This place is unique to me because
             it's the only place I can go to collect my thoughts all alone. I was having a bad day one day, so I took a drive in my car. I saw this road that looked like it led to the river, so I turned left and found the spot I will spend many more days at.
             When I am at this place I feel free. Free to do, say, or think anything I want. I
