Music
All of my life music has been a very important of who I am. I think that the various stages that I have gone through, where I listened to all different types of music, have greatly helped shape my personality. As far back as I can remember I have looked to music as kind of an escape from reality. There is nothing I love to do more than throw in one of my CD's and drift away when I am angry, depressed, or just stressed about something. I think the reason my music is so soothing to me is the fact that a lot of the stuff I listen to, I can also relate to. Li
I have also spent a lot of time over the past few years experimenting and trying to write my own music. From that day on, it seems like it was a struggle for me to put the guitar down, and it still is. As you can see I have a great interest in music. What I would do without music in my life, I have not a clue. It was all right for a while, but I quickly became disinterested. It is truly amazing to me how such beautiful music can be created by the simple picking and strumming of the guitar strings. It's not something I plan on trying to pursue as a career, just sort of a pass time I fell in love with. It wasn't until I picked up my mothers old Ibanez acoustic guitar that I found my calling. Nothing I like to play or listen to involves a trumpet. When I began the 6th grade, I started playing the trumpet for the middle school band. You might even go as far as to say it is an infatuation of mine. As a child, I remember listening to my mother in awe as she would play her acoustic for my siblings and I as we were all gathered around listening. stening to music with messages I am familiar with is somewhat comforting I suppose. I do not think that this is something I will ever grow out of, and personally, I hope that I never do.
