Open the Mexican borders, close the Mexican borders?

Open the Mexican borders, close the Mexican borders?

The border between the United States and Mexico represents the greatest division between the standards of living in neighboring countries. They have a more intensively patrolled and policed border than possibly any other two friendly countries have. Somewhere around 350,000 Mexican immigrants are estimated to enter the U.S. most are illegal. Hundreds of Mexicans are dying every year getting into the United States. [History channel.com]

From the research that I was able, or had time to do; One thing is clear to me. I think the U.S. is sending mixed messages, to say the least as far as immigration is concerned. First message “Don’t come.” You will be stopped at the border. Second message “if you manage to get across, we have laboring jobs for you in fields and factories.”

As the depth of this paper allows I will cover just a few of the myths associated with immigration. Some of the benefits of immigration will also be covered and more specifically immigrants and immigration from Mexico.

. . .
The larger the workforce, the more there is being produced.

Bear in mind also according to the INS. “Historically,” according to Hornberger, “Mexican immigrants have had the qualities that conservatives claim to hold dear: Family values, work ethic and religion. Need I say more?

To finish, as part of my conclusion, I have to quote from an article. While maintaining natural cultural and family ties with friends and relatives in Mexico, Mexican- Americans have historically reflected a deep reverence for their adopted country. Immigrants also stimulate natives to produce more and to be more innovative in order to adapt to a more diverse market mix. When all benefits are examined, and myths are treated as such, it is clear to me that the best policy is to “open the doors”, at Mexican borders. Immigration could be controlled by imposing stricter laws. experienced the biggest wave of immigration of any place or period in the history of the world, yet also the greatest growth in production and the standard of living in the history of the world. (“Myths” if you look up the meaning, as I did you should find the following: A popular belief or story that has become associated with a person, institution, or occurrence, especially one considered to illustrate a cultural ideal.
