Abigail Adams and John Parker

Abigail Adams and John Parker are extraordinary people in United States History. They are the same and yet different from women and blacks in their era and they are alike to each other. Theses two individuals helped to mold the United States into what we know it is today. John Parker is an interesting black figure in United States history. He was an conductor on the underground rail road, but before this he suffered many hardships that helped to make him the man that he was. Abigail Adams was a first lady, a wife and very educated women, all at the same time, some thing that was very difficult to accomplish. John parker like most blacks in the south at his time was a slave he was born into this bondage and from the beginning heated the institution of slavery. He also fought against this institution and that brought a great heap of trouble down onto him self. Some how he managed to find pity most of his masters and that helped to save him from being sold south down to the cotton land where he would surly end up in the most turmoil, pain and degradation that he could ever experience. He like many other salves became a skilled tradesman, a molder. Unlike other blacks John Parker managed to e


John Adams battled through all the rigors of leaving the south and starting a free life. This made her to be a very cantankerous individual this made her parents very worried the she would not be able to live a normal life. How ever this fell through when John's safety was threatened in route to Yale. She only was very intelligent and capable. She later went on to marry this man John Adams in 1764. John had the tow sons of his first master who brought him books and tried to bring him to Yale. He beat the women who ran the hospital. Here as before she worked for the suffrage and the equal rights of women. John Parker was exploited to a certain extent by the anti slavery movement. This is something that is very abnormal for young people of that era. Eventually he managed to convince a lady to by him from the good doctor and allow him to work to bye himself out of slavery. Her education went much farther then just reading the words on a page, it delved into the meaning and themes behind what was written. He tired to make a run for the north but was foiled on many times. She was the daughter of a successful reverend in Weymouth Massachusetts. From the beginning Abigail was a little different form most other girls and women of her day.
