This will be a discussion about the Flagstar Corporation a.k.a Denny's restaurants and the journey this particular chain faced when specific issues were ignored and condoned in some opinions. There will be discussion about the company's history and some key issues and challenges faced. Also the core problem will be addressed as well as two possible solutions and finally a recommended solution to aid this once famous chain.The Denny's restaurant had a very humble beginning. In 1953 Harold Butler opens a Danny's Donuts in Lakewood California, by years end profits had grown so much in 1954 that more Danny's Donut chains emerged and it was decided to expand the menu to include sandwiches and entrees. In 1959 the chain is renamed Denny's Coffee Shops with a total of 20 restaurants serving customers by years end. The year 1968 proved very successful, Denny's now operated 192 restaurants and in 1997 the Denny's Original Grand Slam Breakfast is created, which still remains popular today. By the year 1997 Denny's opened 77 new franchise restaurants, by the years end there were 1,652 restaurants nationwide. Later issues regarding discrimination will be discussed.
