1776

In 1776 there was a great decision made by the people who ran the government and this classic musical, "1776", portrayed the great decision, the writing of the constitution.

The movie's plot is about the proceedings of the second continental congress as it debated on declaring independence from Britain. The story begins as representatives, including John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin; from the 13 colonies meet in Philadelphia for the proceedings. After one of the meetings where Adams is just pushed aside, he begins to try to ge

There was a large vote on where to put slavery freedom. Making a musical on a subject this is weird. I didn't like the movies because of the music and content it was portrayed in.

Ben Franklin was a member of the Continental Congress and help to draft the Declaration. He helped lay down the format for the declaration and defended the Declaration of Independence during the debate in congress. It is a strange subject to hear all the founding fathers break out into song.

The three main characters of the musical were Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson.

Other than declaring Independence from Britain the document contained other things that were important to America at that time, such as slavery. After many meeting and almost no proposal met Adams begins to write the Declaration, only after it is written does everyone agree on it. I think that I would have enjoyed it more if it isn't a musical. He wrote most of it and was helped little by Franklin. t more popular representatives to help him push for independence. Many of the men thought if signing independence also meant they were signing away the right to have slaves because of the slaves' freedom.

I believe this movie is a good movie for people who know more about the history of the Declaration.

John Adams was an early supporter of American independence from Britain.
