The world leader I will discuss is President John Fitzgerald Kennedy .President Kennedy was the 35th President of the United States .He was born in 1917 in the city of Brooklyn , and the state of Massachusetts . He was the second of 9 children , born to wealthy parents . From 1941 -1945 , President Kennedy served in the Navy and was decorated for great heroism . He saved the lives of 3 of his men after his P.T. boat was hit and sunk by a Japanese
He was riding in a convertible with his wife . He was the youngest man ever elected into the government , the first Roman Catholic , and the first man born in the 20 th century. In 1961 President Kennedy was elected 35 th President of the United States . On November 22 , 1963 , Kennedy was killed in Dallas , Texas . He spoke equally and made the people appreciate America . One million people covered the streets of Washington For the funeral procession . During his short term , he created the Peace Corps , instituted a naval blockade of Cuba which forced Soviet missiles out of Cuba . If President Kennedy would have lived longer than he did, then he would have been president maybe for another term longer and would have made many more accomplishments if he was alive. Two days after his arrest , Oswald was killed on live television by Jack Ruby .
