The effects of the Black Death in Europe

During the 14th century, one of the most deeply stressing moments of the humanity happened in Europe. Nobody was prepared to face this huge disease, the Black Death. Every part of the European society was affected by this problem. The culture, the education, the economy, the religion and the simple life were turned upside down. The first reports that talk about the Black Death came from Italy. This powerful killing machine arrived by boat and was dispersed in other countries in a short period of time. The huge cities were more affected because they received directly the things brought by the infected navies. Also, the rats were carrying the fleas, which were contaminated, and brought the plague in Europe. Rats were carrying the fleas everywhere in cities. Also, during this time, it wasn't really clean in cities (during this time, people had no garbage, the only one that they have was the street) and they weren't used to take showers and to be hygienic. Because of that, they were more favourable to contract diseases like the diarrhoea which had for effect to weaken them. Moreover, people were walking with the rats in the street and often they were bitted by them. If people were bitted by the fleas and the rats they became sick re

For the persons who were living in this time, it was really difficult because they had to deal with the death of their friends and family and also with the reconstruction of the society. Because of this plague, the whole Europe had to deal with several changes. So, the plague ended, because it wasn't transmit anymore to other humans and animals. For the persons who were writing, a lot of them died before they had the chance to finish their book. In brief, in five years, the Black Death had killed twenty-five millions of persons, the third of the European society. To replace them at the primary school, they engaged people who had no education, so when the students arrived at university, they weren't prepared at all, so the university teacher's were obligated to teach them in French. Artists had done a lot of paint and draw which were really black, sad. In those painting, we can see that humans were mixed with skeletons, that all the colors were sad and black; in fact, all the works of this time were talking about death. Some people were whipping themselves because they thought that by this way they will be forgiven from their sins. Because a huge numbers of citizens were death, employers had to raise the salaries of their employees to attract new workers. The education had suffered a great deal to. After the epidemic, when they were trying to rebuild a new system, they saw that their teachers were almost all death, so they put the teachers which were uses to teach in the primary sector at the university. People started to think that God wanted to kill each of them.
