Introduction: Our study could be helpful and important to television producers. This study should be helpful by generating substancial evidence as to which sport is more popular to a T. The list we used was made up of members of a sports club to which we both belong to, therefore, the results we gathered do not represent the general population. The chi-square statistic is defined as a sum of terms of the form:

with one term for for each observed value. All three days, we called between 4:00pm and 8:30pm.

Methods: In this study we questioned a 49 males and 35 females, ranging from the ages of 10 to 50. The chi-square statistic is a number used for evaluating the statistical significance of the difference between observed data and the data that would be expected under a spacific hypothesis.

Our null hypothesis for this survey is that gender has no affect on what sport you you would rather watch on television. To ensure that there was no replecation of subjects, we made up a phone list to follow, and just crossed out the names as we went down the list. rrect, therefore, it could be rejected, which says that our null hypothesis was correct.

In this study, we asked the question “ Would you rather watch Skiing or Snowboarding on television? ” In asking this question, we seeked to find out which sport was more popular on television. Our hypothesis is that more men will prefer watching snowboarding, while more women will prefer watching skiing on T.
