Factors That Make Me
As people, we all have different traits. And as we grow older, we can develop new traits. Some of these traits can include being responsible, patient, self-reliant, easily angered and hard-working. Although not all traits are good, we have them, and they are hard to get rid of. Many people we are around, for example family and friends, have the same traits we have, but in a way can be completely different. Our traits show exactly who we are, what we are like, and how we will handle certain things. Maturity is one trait that is definitely influenced by family as well as friends. It is probably the one trait that I have which is very noticeable. I am the youngest of my family, with my only sister being 8 years older than I am. Both my parents have full-time working jobs as well, so I was depended on o be able to stay home by myself, knowing what to do, probably from about the age of 10. My sister was the same way when she was younger, and I always felt as if I had to be just like my sister, or even be her at times, because she was the older one. So by impressing my parents, showing them I could do what they expected, not only did I gain maturity quicker, but I gained their trust as well. . . .
Now I’m not saying everyone has become that, because not everyone has. With all of these traits, you gain responsibility. As I’ve grown up, I’ve seen how people have changed, from their immaturity and silliness, to becoming very responsible people. Now I’m not saying that I am some big neat freak, but let’s say I had scribbles or ripped paper in my binder on my school work, I would most likely write it out again, because I couldn’t have the scribbles on it. My mother is like that also, probably because she works at a bank. She needs to be able to find client information with no questions asked. Being organized, helps me to know what I’m doing,. you most likely have a couple more very positive traits in you, like being dependable, trustworthy and honest. I don’t feel like I need to please everyone 24 hours of a day, including those I may not like very much, but I don’t like letting people down, especially my close friends and family. I know I can always do better on projects, but I get them done, and I will not hand it in until I’m pleased with what I’ve done. It’s distracting to me if things are all out of order, as well it’s very frustrating. Being dependable really makes who you are. my room and other things I have control over, you would be able to see that I am definitely a person that needs to be organized. Even just the simplest things, such as telling someone I will call them later, I will.
