Time Travel
Have you ever wondered what if you could travel back through time and become a millionaire by betting on horses, sports and other competitions? Or always wish you could go back through time to change some terrible incident in your past? What would happen if you could go back through time and changed the past? What would your future be like when you returned? Could you even travel into the past or future? These questions have came up time after time from movie producers to scientist. There are many theory in the world that deal with this issue, but perhaps the most the most prominent theory is Einstein'. "According to Einstein's theory, approaching the speed of light would theoretically slow time, traveling at the speed of light would make it stand still and traveling faster than the speed of light would reverse time" (Onion, 3). The effect is the same when the mass around one is increased. Thus, mass and speed are relative in that the greater the amount of either the more time will warp. To understand more clearly how Einstein's works let's look at a few examples. First, if one increases the speed at which he or she is traveling than the result would be time moving faster from his or her perspective. "In 1975 Carol Allie,
7) Secondly, turn to the concept of an increased mass as a means of time manipulation. In order to do this one must travel faster than light speed at the same time and skip the exact speed of light. The easiest way would to think of two metal plates parallel to one another with nothing in between them. Could you do this and not, in doing so, eliminating your own existence? And even if you do that, then no one killed your grandparent in the first place and your birth is possible again! You could form a postulate that states that these events are forbidden, but that would in a sense mean that you have no free will since you are not allowed to kill your grandparent then. They found that the clock closer Earth's mass moved more slowly than the clock located at the top of the skyscraper. 11) One day in the distant future we may be able to harness the power of antigravity, stabilizing black holes and traveling faster than ever imagined. It would operate "by a process known as negative feedback, in which any disturbance in the space time structure of the worm hole creates another disturbance which cancels out the first disturbance. The future and the past could be a space flight away. Black holes have been said to be the key to traveling into the past. "One of the problems with time travel is the so called "grandparent" paradox" (Time Travel par. Such a journey would not, therefore, involve a violation of causality" (Michigan par. 16) Particles and antiparticles pairs constantly being produced and annihilating one another. 17) This means that some of the activity of the vacuum is suppressed in the gap between the plates, while the usual activity goes on outside.
