Ancient Egypt

The Ancient Egyptian culture is very unique to me because it's mysterious in many ways. The way the pyramids were built, the way their religion motivated their architecture, and what they believed in is very interesting and astonishing to me. The Ancient Egyptian culture is very intriguing since just about everything they did and believed in is a mystery. The Egyptians had to have creative imaginations and patience to build pyramids, temples, tombs, and monuments. The pyramids are such a mystery due to their massive size

There was the Sun, Moon and stars; there was fertility and death, from these things the Egyptians made their complex hierarchy of Gods and religion. These pyramids, temples, tombs, and monuments have awed people for centuries and for centuries to come. This meant security for the corpse and security for their belongings, such as food, jewels, and other belongings needed for the after life. One of the greatest cultural achievements of Ancient Egypt was undoubtedly in their architecture associated with religion. These once covered limestone structures reach heights up to 482 feet and can weigh up to 6 million tons. The Egyptian culture is so baffling to me, I think that's why I'm so interested in learning about their culture. Temples, tombs, and pyramids-all architectural achievements show us tht Egypt's greatest virtue is in its architecture. People believe it was built for Chephren since the head is similar to his. The sphinx which is an ancient monument with the body of a lion and the head of a king. This belief influenced the design of the tomb, where the corpse would be sealed. Once the corpse was mummified, it would be preserved in an impregnable tomb. Implying the art and architecture of Ancient Egypt stemmed directly from their religion. So the design of the tomb is based upon the religious and cultural beliefs. The Ancient Egyptian culture and religion amazes me because there are really no answers to the puzzles the Egyptians created.
