YWAM Haiti's property is located in the heart of the darkest area of the city. The Haitian culture is made up of former Africans that were up-rooted from their homes and brought to the Caribbean. Voodoo has played a key role in Haiti's history. With a mixture of different tribes combined with years of brutality iimposed through slavery, any values that once were there have been lost. Now the only value that seems to exist is every man for himself. It seems that God has placed YWAM in the middle of the needy.
