a. Marijuana has both long term and short-term effects. The effects are sometimes pleasing, but also can lead to other effects. Also, there are physical and mental effects that make you feel good but at the same time of that effect it's dangerous. Marijuana is a very popular drug among teenagers in this decade. Little do the teens know is that there are long-term effects behind the good short-term feelings.
             b. Marijuana is used mostly by teens from the grades 9-12. Marijuana also contains the chemical THC and its also contains more cancer causing chemicals than tobacco. The marijuana plant comes from the cannabis satin plant, which is cut, dried, and finely chopped to make a cigarette.
             a. Marijuana has a long line of long-term effects behind it. It has initial effects that can interfere with emotions, concentration and sense of feeling good. Marijuana in males interferes with the normal sperm count. Marijuana also can cause apathy, poor motivation, and loss of interest in schoolwork. The active chemical THC is the case of most of the long-term effects. A very common long-term effect that marijuana cause is Amotivational Syndrome.
             b. Marijuana in the long run produces acute and chronic bronchitis. Smoking marijuana also causes inflammation in the lungs. Along with all of the other long-term effects of marijuana it decreases pulmonary defects against infection. Marijuana use causes many mental disorders including acute toxic psychosis. Marijuana causes the smoker to have flashbacks along with the uncontrollable hostility.
             a. The short-term effects has been known to trigger attacks of mental illness, such as bipolar. Bipolar, is a manic-depression that causes psychotic behavior.
