Attachment theory

When I was child, I was the one who always needed a little bit more. With sister who was two years older I needed a little more attention, a little more love, and a little more explanation about why things happen in life and my grandmother was there to give it to me everything I needed. She played the Japanese songs for me when I wasn't happy, she taught me how to live with other people when I had arguments with my friends, and she showed me that I didn't need to be the best at anything I did in order to be successful. She was important to me that taught the feeling of happiness, the feeling of sadness and the feeling of plainness.

My life has not always been roes and happiness. There have been many hardships having to do with the deaths of loved ones. I still remember clearly the day my grandmother died. I can remember the pain in my heart and what I did to get rid of that pain. I build a strong bond with people because of my social upbringing and it is hard when I lose a person I love. The first person I remember dying is my grandmother when I was 16. I was devastated. This was my first real experience with dealing in pain. I couldn't face the fact that my grandmother was past away. Every time I heard a Japanese song is playing and that will make me think of my grandmother.

My grandmother and the Japanese songs is an example of attachment theory by BowIby. Attachment theory is a theory developed by BowIby concerning the tendency to bond with other people and experience distress following separation and loss. When I heard a Japanese song is playing and that help me think of my grandmother. Therefore we can say a person's attachment style starts forming from the day he was born, through his interaction with his caregiver. This kind of behavioral is usually involved in love relationships, specially the mothers and their children.
