Home vs College life

Home or College Life Compare and Contrast You graduated! You finally graduated from high school and now are going off to either college or work. Well for those who are going to college, one might think college life will be easier to live at than at home; in fact, home life is easier than college life. College life is a lot harder, with harder homework, more responsibilities, and time is always a big issue. In all reality college life and home life during the high school years are so different from each other. Homework is the number one thing that stands out the most to me. Since I have been at college I have noticed that homework is a lot more difficult and time consuming. College homework is almost all essay based, project based, or reading based. Most of the time these three types of homework, especially essay and project based is a lot more difficult than high school. The three fatal errors rule is one. If for any chance you get three fatal errors you automatically get a failing grade on an essay paper. The three fatal errors are

Statistics show that for every hour you are in class you should study two hours outside of class, and I believe it. I don't know why home life seems so much easier than college life, just maybe it is because my grandparents are always there right behind me pushing me to get done on time, or helping with money issues or because they actually do so much for me and I just never realized it until now. High school work usually was all easy, with myself even finishing before I left for home. Finally, I have noticed that even time is different. Even though I never really brought books home I still managed to get on the honor role, every semester but the very first. During my high school years I rarely brought a book home to study or do homework. I have noticed that even though I spend hours upon hours of studying it always takes me twice as long to actually finish something. when you make three major mistakes on your paper such as fragments, and/or run on sentences. Also all the duties I now have since I am in college. Also at college we get hours upon hours of homework. Even though I have a whole lot more time on my hands, I do not get as much accomplished. Here at the university, I have learned that when you are on your own everything is more expensive; with money slipping right through my hands and having nothing to show for it. For example, now I have to wash my own cloths, clean my room and, clean the bathroom, which is so disgusting; having to make sure I do everything I need to do with no help from my grandparents. The only responsibility was helping my grandmother, which even though it sounds like more work, I never thought so.
