Nevertheless, Jack and Rose share Romeo and Juliet’s internal struggle with their relationships. When Juliet is standing on her bedroom balcony, she is talking about Romeo to herself. After Juliet has met Romeo, she is talking to the Nurse about him. After the party, Romeo sneaks into Capulet’s orchard and sees Juliet in her bedroom window. Just after Romeo meets Juliet at the Capulet’s party, he talks to the Nurse. He never questions his love for her even though she should be his enemy. She says of Romeo, “O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? / Deny thy father and refuse thy name! / Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, / And I’ll no longer be a Capulet. In the end, love overcame the differences between people. It is extremely evident through the way Juliet speaks that love has made Juliet forgive her differences with Romeo. Romeo says, “It is my lady; O, it is my love!”(Act II Scene II). In the end of the play, Lord Capulet and Lord Montague forget their differences after Romeo and Juliet die.

In The Titanic, Jack and Rose’s families were not aware of the lovers’ relationship so there was no quarrel between the families as in Romeo and Juliet. Romeo speaks about her to himself as if he had loved her for 20 years. ” Montague responds, “But I can give thee more, / For I will raise her statue in pure gold,” This showed that even though Montague and Capulet were enemies, they overlooked their extensive quarrel and united their families in friendship for the love of their children.
