St. Ignatius

St. Ignatius created many principles and standards by which we Christians try to live by. The Church holds up St. Ignatius as an example for us to follow because of his lifestyle and his willingness to do everything for the greater glory of God. St. Ignatius had a very interesting life. He changed lifestyles in his early thirties. Ignatius was a wealthy young man. He was a messenger of the Velazquez family and made lots of money. With this money, Ignatius was well groomed. He wore nice clothes, had combed and cut hair, and had cut nails. With the money, Ignatius also started to g


amble, drink, and try to impress girls. I would like to imitate the principle of men for others, discernment, Magis, and presume the best. Ignatius talked to begged for food from many people, but he always presumed the best of the person when they answered him on if they would give him food. I also would like to imitate the principle of Magis. I like the principle of men for others because you try your best to help many other people in small ways, like a teacher explaining something better to a class if it is confusing or a student helping a hurt person carry their books. Ignatius as a model for all people to follow. He decided that the life he was living was not the one that God wanted him to live. " Ignatius always gave more of himself when he gave whatever money he had to poor people on streets, he gave people shelter, and always gave them food till they were satisfied. He would leave all this behind after his injury at the battle of Pamplona. When Ignatius was recovering, he read books on saints and their accomplishments.
