Should Boxing Be Banned?

Boxing is a sport that is watched all around the world and it has a great income of money and television publicity. There is a huge controversy over the sport because of the number of people who have got injured and the deaths of people in the ring.

I am going to look at a number of different points for and against boxing being banned.

A reason for keeping boxing is that the medical attention provided is of a high standard. This really means that the people who are in favour of boxing think that no matter how hurt a person gets they will always get better again but this is not always true if a boxer was to get brain damage.

. . .

the UK then the boxers would probably go to other countries where it is not banned and where safety rules may not be as good as in the UK. These will more that likely bring the income for the boxer down but it will also mean that his career can go on for a few years longer. This would mean that if boxing were banned in a certain country e.

Many boxers have too many fights over a short period of time, so there is a greater risk of injury. d it would be difficult to regulate the sport because people would fight ‘underground’ and fight in clubs for money and there would be serious injuries.

Lots of people die from knockout punches because there is no head protection wore. There would be nobody to tell the boxers to stop and there would be little medical teams to help the injured person. This is why they will definitely not want boxing to be banned.

Anybody can fight and boxing provides a way out of a poor life for children, because it means that the kids can play a sport they like. There has been a reduction and most boxers wouldn’t fight in more than a few fights a year.

Boxing laws are different in different countries. Boxers can make million of pounds per fight so a few fights a year will not make the sponsors or the boxing organization lose their money. This is very dangerous as all the boxers aim for their opponent’s heads with all their weight.
