Make no mistake, a girlfriend can be a great thing. However, that after time and a break up; women can become quite an annoyance or even stalker-like. If annoying calls are adding up, if random visits are creating unease and tension, and if subtle hints aren't getting across; a more direct approach to a relationships' end may be the way to fix this predicament. A progression of three steps may be the answer to any not-so broken up relationship problem.
The days of subtle nice hints are over now, chum. Today is a new day, and a whole new tone. In due time, it is appropriate to take whatever means necessary to get the final victory of independence. A blunt, yet speedy chat in person or over the phone should suffice as the first step, and it can be as easy as saying "I don't want you to call or come over anymore. We are through". Now at the time this may seem to be a cruel thing to do, for this step is often accompanied with tears and crying, but the best thing to do is to just hang up the phone and to continue on with your life.
The new freedom is a well deserved feeling, but in some cases, step one may not be clear enough. Persistence of phone calls continues, and random visits may possibly be at an all time high. At this dire time of need a second, harsher, step may be in line. Step two of three is to find a new girlfriend, preferably a friend of the ex-girlfriend. Obviously the direct verbal shut down was not enough, so the more non-verbal approach could be the missing piece in the love puzzle that has been created.
In rare cases, a third, very extreme step is needed for the despicable, take no hint girls. At the third step it has become obvious that the girl is far beyond the border of being a stalker.
