When you go on the computer and you surf the net for a certain topic you may find many results with websites concerning this topic. You go in some of the websites and see that one website maybe saying something while the other ones are saying the opposite. Can we really trust everything what we see on the net? This is not the only thing that concerns with trusting a computer. What if one of your employees is short a large amount of money and they really did not give out the wrong change of money. Can we really trust that the cash register did not make any mistakes? This question has been on my mind for many years before taking this course and in Chapter 4 in the text A Gift of Fire it talks about what can go wrong with computers and computer failures. Personally, I do not trust computers all the time. I keep in mind that many things can go wrong with a computer and that a computer like humans can not be "Perfect".
             From my own personal experience I have learned that I can never rely on computers for many reasons. For example, one time I had an assignment due the next day and unlikely my computer got the worm and it crashed. I did not save any of my work on to a back up disk so I had to ask my professor if I could turn it in late. A few weeks later the same exact thing happened to me. So after that I no longer trusted that computers were safe to keep important documents without backing them up on to a disk. Another incident that had happened was during at work at Forever 21. At the end of the night, after counting out, I realized that I was short exactly fifty dollars. I suspect that it maybe some computer error because this is not the first time someone was short fifty dollars. There had been several of other incidents where someone was short an even amount of money.
