             In this past week I have been sitting in my room for a half an hour every day in absolute silence. No distractions, no music, no books, no pencil and paper, chatting on the phone, and of course no sleeping! It was like a test to see if we could sit still and just relax and think. At first I was a bit discouraged of how I didn't want to do it because of a lack of time, but after a couple times I realized that it was actually interesting and soothing to the mind and spirit. The weirdest thoughts started coming to me about my past and future in a couple occasions, and other days I just analyzed what went on at school and why it never stopped raining.
             Here is are some brief notes of my the main thoughts that passed through my head this week:
             Ø Thought it was boring and a waste of time. Would prefer getting on the phone in that right moment.
             Ø School: Ms. Mongiat and her strict rules (denied us of having the sleep over). I hate her... UGH!! I mean it's been a tradition at the school and why does it have to stop now that we are seniors, we have been waiting for this moment for all of our 15 years at AISF; at least I have.
             Ø Constantly looking at my watch to see how much time is left. Seemed as if time never ended.
             Ø How much I love Carolina, she just is the most beautiful thing ever and I can't wait to see her. I have been tempted to call her during my 30 minutes of silence.
             Ø I saw a fly and wondered if insects really do have a happy life by just buzzing around all day. Within the next 30 minutes I killed it.
             Ø I glanced up at the wall in my room and saw and old picture of my cousin and me and remembered the good times we spent together, especially when we used to go to Six Flags.
             Ø Where will I end up in 20 years and how successful will I be? Will I get through college ok? Where will I go to college? London? Boston? It has to be my decision not my parents'.
