Losing someone who cannot be replaced by anyone else is harder that losing millions of dollars. I have been affected by my experiences learning to overcome all of the hard times, finding that there are things that cannot be forgotten, and gaining knowledge about the uniqueness of a friendship. When my best friend died in a car accident, my life changed completely. I did not know it would be so hard to overcome the feeling that she left with me. We were friends, no just regular friends, but best friends. We would do everything together, such as, play softball, go horseback riding, and cut school and throw a party on Monday. We had the best time together, but unfotunatley life took all that from me. Sometimes I ask myself, why it had to be her, my best friend, the person I trusted with everything. She was a friend who will always be in my heart. It was the night of September 18, 1999. I will never forget that night. I got a phone call from her cousin.
"You might want to sit down," she said.
She stopped talking. I did not know what was going on.
I didn't believe her. i thought she was trying to play some sick joke on me. then i realized she wasnt joking. i started crying and could not stop. we talked about what had happened and kept asking ourselves "if" only this would had happened things would be different. that moment was followed by a joke about all the times wer had had together in order to make us laugh and make our emotions go away. after we stopped telling jokes i could not control myself anymore. the tears fell down my face. i didnt talk. i just went crazy and started screaming, but i did not say a word. i didnt know what to do. she was the friend that i respected more than a sister, more than anybody else. and now she is not here anymore, she is gone.
