A Love Story
             The low point in Erica's life became obvious to her. She had been in and out of low quality relationships since her senior year of high school. It had been three years that Erica had been out of high school. Senior year of college was approaching and she had not had one meaningful male figure in her life. She decided after her last guy fling she would take a break and be her own woman for once. She did not need a boyfriend to make her feel better about herself. Life was starting to mean more to her than superficial boyfriends.
             Her decision was tough at first. Erica was a natural flirt. She loved the game, driving the boys wild. Without her numerous boyfriends who would she associate with? She knew for sure her old girlfriends would reject her. And at first they did. They thought that Erica was just having guy problems and needed someone to run to. But that was not the case, Erica's mind was made up, she knew what she needed to do with her life.
             Her old girlfriends soon realized that she was totally honest with them. They finally respected her for straightening out her faults and coming clean. Her relationship with her old friends became greater than before, and there was no men to conflict with the quality of their friendships. Academics were now more important to Erica. She strove to do better in each class. School became fun for the first time, she started to love the challenge of her classes instead of dread them. As her grades went up so did her self-esteem. She felt better than ever about herself; she had great friends and pleasing grades in all her courses.
             While finishing up her physics homework one evening Erica decided to log on to a campus chat room.
