Macbeth

The protagonist of the play Macbeth is Macbeth. The antagonist is his conscience and guilt. The main conflict between the protagonist and the antagonist is that the protagonist loses his battle with himself, because of greed and evil. Three things about the character that impresses me the most are ambition, bravery, and self-doubt.
The first impression of the character Macbeth is ambition. He has great ambition, because he has the desire to be king and will do anything or kill anything to stay king. When Macbeth hires two killers to kill fleance and banquo, he shows his ambition to stay king.He is also easily tempted into murder to fulfill his ambition to the throne.
The second impression is bravery. He is brave, because he is a general. Also he is brave because he had the mentality or thought of killing the king in one day. And because of his battlefield valor. He is a brave and a capable warrior.
The last impression is self-doubt. Macbeth had self-doubt, because he was afraid of getting caught of killing Duncan .He also has self-doubt, because of his fear, that's why lady Macbeth called him a fearless coward. He also had self-doubt when he couldn't take it anymore in the banquet when he was going insane.
Ambition, Bravery, and Self-doubt were the protagonist characteristics that impressed me the most. And because of his greed and evil he was overcame by the witches' prophecies.
