She "dreamed of singing professionally. More than dreamed-she planned a career and was confident that she would become a star. And not only locally; Grace was eager for international success." Not only her nature was did differentiate her from other women, her physique was special too; she was five feet eight inches and not "dwarfed by Dr. Hemingway, as were so many Oak Park girls."
