             Yes, he choose the smartest and most dedicated students. However, because he based "smart" on gpa's many smart kids who don't excel because they are bored, could have been not considered.
             Students view academics as work not fun.
             I would do posters, flyers, and possibly scholarship opportunities through
             I would also try to involve the whole school with the team by having a fun
             assembly, maybe a mock game show- jeopardy ect. Make the school involved
             through a contest or tryouts with an award incentive.
             Yes, because a team has ultimate trust and can stick together under high pressure.
             The real party to be held at fault is those that held the competition. They had an office at a school-they should be neutral. Also the fact that tax money is not equally distributed among schools, but rather by wealth of that community it makes education separate but equal. Had both schools had equal funding there would have been no excuse to cheat.
             How do you eliminate someone and minimize that experience?
             -Offer them a more distant role with the group- running errands or whatever- lessen their position/involvement.
             -Make the decision to eliminate someone a consensus in the group and force the group to stick together on reaching it.
             -Eliminate them but later discuss/review what is expected of members and what that individual was lacking in. In other words don't make other members feel they too are at a risk of being eliminated, and that it was based on performance not personality.
