Freedom is something that is very hard to obtain today, and for humans is very important to be "free" and because we want to be free we look for it. Sometimes it is very hard to obtain and those who are "free" are punished by society in many different ways, but at the same time they are admired by many others. But the true fact about freedom is that it is good only until it interfere with others freedom.
Freedom is the right of individuals to act as they choose, in others words it means to do everything you want. Maybe that was one of the mistakes of Hard Rock and Eminem, go behind their freedom. Hard Rock was a person who wanted to build his freedom inside the prison but he paid the price for trying to take control over the others and for doing what he wanted. Eminem in his song "Brain Damage" wanted to be free too, but once again there was an obstacle, "the school Bully" that wanted to take control over the kid. Sometime we think that we are free, but, are we really free? Can we do everything we want without been penalize by others? This is one question that everyone should ask to themselves.
Hard Rock and Eminem have things in common because they had been penalized and admired for trying to be themselves and for doing everything they wanted. The reason because prisoners get upset when Hard Rock did not beat down "the screw", was because they were expecting Hard Rock to represent then by opposing and rejecting what the guards said. They expected that because he was their symbol of freedom inside the prison, the person that no matter what happen, would look for his freedom, even if it is for just a moment, without caring about if he will be sent to the hole for a lot of days. The same happen whit Eminem, he represent the little kid that is humiliated by others kids and then become bad and take revenge from all those who laugh at him.
