Everyone has someone that they look up to and that they call their guardian angel. My guardian angel is the most awesome person I have ever met. Just as fast as he came into my life God took him from me to watch out for me because God had a bigger plan for him.
His name was Joshua Timothy "T-Bone" Thompson and he was the guy that you could bring home to mom. Josh's passion in life was baseball and being the best at it as he could. His parents and my dad had been life long friends so therefor Josh and I were destined to be friends. As children we went through the "I hate girls/boys" stage and we hated each other, like most children do, but one day for some reason we decided we really didn't hate each other but it was more like we liked each other a lot.
Josh came up to me at a baseball game and told me that the guy I was dating was not good enough for me and that I needed a real man like himself. I looked and laughed but after a little while later I was feeling like maybe he could be more than just the boy that used to eat dirt and throw mud at me. We were only in the seventh grade but we felt like we were in love.
Josh had grown up with me and knew me better than any other person. He was the biggest sweetheart anyone could ever meet and he was adorable. I was his biggest fan. His lifelong dream was to one day win the state championship for baseball. His dream would soon be cut short by something that no one could understand.
It was a sunny Monday afternoon when my friend and I got a phone call saying that Josh had been in a horrible four-wheeler accident and no one knew how bad his injuries were. We raced to the ball fields to see if anyone knew anything.
