Gopher Hunting

When I was a kid I always used to enjoy the sport of gopher trapping. It was no ordinary sport you see, you had to be quick agile and be able to use both hands at the same time very quickly. The sport went as follows: First you locate a gopher hole. Second you would take a water hose and shove it down the gopher hole. Third you would turn on the water at full blast and then run to the hole and wait patiently with your trusty trash can lid. Fourth when the gopher immerges out of its lair you would slam the trash can lid down on top of it and hold it there until the gopher was totally suffocated. That's all you had to do easy as that.
The tricky part about gopher hunting is that you never know when the gopher is dead because when they suffocate they don't make any noise and you cant see through the trash can lid so most rookie gopher hunters usually wound up just letting their gophers go. Lets talk about a good hunting dog. If you don't have a good hunting dog then you shouldn't even try to gopher hunt because you will never find the gophers and if you do find them then you will have nothing to do with the gopher when your done killing your catch. My dog Fester was the best gopher-hunting dog I?ve ever had. Fester would find where the gopher was digging and then show me. Then after I got done with my hunt I would give the dead suffocated gopher to Fester for being such a good dog and he would just gobble it up like a doggy treat.
