I will succeed! I will be one of the first in my family to pursue a studied career and one of the first to show stability. My determination and hunger for happiness will not allow me to falter. I will find happiness, I will become an example of strength, and I will succeed!
             I am now 17 years of age and have faced many trials throughout my childhood. My parents divorced when I was seven and I was forced to make overwhelming decisions. Although it was difficult at the time, I feel that my choices have formed me into the person I am today. I have gained the strength and courage to always take the next step forward.
             Although I have faced numerous trials, I have maintained a hunger for education and success. Coming from a broken home has only made me stronger and more determined to find the things I've never had, such as: stability, strong family values, and happiness. But above all goals, my main intention is to make my mother proud.
             I intend to become a product in which my mother has instilled morals and values. She has devoted a majority of her life to forming my brothers and I into successful young adults, and my success will reward her. Due to my mother's leading example, I strive to be a person who displays honesty and perseverance.
             The road to this point has not been smooth, but it is now my chance to change that route. My determination will push me to achieve my goals and lead me to happiness. I intend to repay my mother for her generosity and lend her a helping hand in the future. I will find happiness, I will become an example of strength, and I will succeed!
