The event of September 11, 2001 was a major marker in our country. It showed our weakness, our economy, and how quickly it could be destroyed. Many lives were affected by this disaster. And they, as I will never forget that day.
             If I could change the situation, it stil would have happened, just a little differently. The terrorists still would have acquired control of the airplanes. That power would have been restored into the correct hands sooner before the trade centers were damaged. This would have allowed us to acknowledge the extent of the issue at hand, our security, without such devastating consequences.
             Our airlines would have gotten an extreme wakeup call without such a devastating ending. They could've realized their mistakes, and correct them. Our economy would have not been threatened. And our twin towers would still be standing tall and proud without the loss of so many lives. There should've been noticeable signs that there were major defects in our airline security. They must have been overlooked.
             Unfortunately, the ordinary citizens of our nation have had many days of grievances. This could've been prevented if we as a nation would have paid close attention to what was happening around us. There was way more suffering happening than I thought a nation could handle, but I was wrong. We joined together as a people, which I thought we'd forgotten how to do. However what's done is done, and we must move forward, towards our future.
