been against changing their ways. The biggest problem faced in reaching equality has been using "...positive ways to comply with the law" ("Achieving" 3). Some have frowned upon Title IX due to the fact they believe men have to give up what they have in order for women to have what they want. They view this as reverse discrimination, which occurs when there is no discrimination upon the group that felt inferior but in effect the actions discriminate the group that was originally viewed as superior. It's all a very complicated, and at times, messy situation.
